1) Grimsby first look
Sacha Baron Cohen has a new filmic endeavour by the name of Grimsby. It’s an action comedy taking the piss out off Spy movies. It also stars Mark Strong and no doubt has plenty to keep Borat fans interested. Check out the clip below and the film is due out in early March.
2) Mammal’s First Trailer
Here is the first trailer for Mammal, the new film from Rebecca Daly. Daly follows up her first feature The Other Side of Sleep with another intense look at people coping with loss and all that it entails.
From the trailer it has elements of Red Road so it looks very promising. No Irish general release date as yet but we’ll keep you informed.
3) The Raid’s Gareth Evans has a short movie
Gareth Evans has shot a 5min short with the aim being to keep the action in the style of The Raid 1 & 2 but to remain within a PG 13 rating. He has succeeded. The short blurb below the YouTube video reveals the following about the plot:
In a time of civil war, a young warrior is given the task of delivering a treaty between two rival lords. During her journey through the woods however, she finds herself hunted by two assassins intent on intercepting her message of peace in a bid to maintain the fear, instability and violent rule of their leader.
2014 was when we saw the The Raid 2 and it seems that The Raid 3 will be next for his directing slate. Fingers crossed it isn’t as bloated this time around and returns to the roots of the first instalment.
4) Trolls Teaser Trailer
Try that 10 times. Ya so we have a teaser of what DreamWorks has done to trolls. First mistake is that seem to be able to move. We’ll get to see it come November.
